Dear Clients and Friends:

Please be advised that an announcement by the leading Health Department official of the Federal Government has just been issued informing that companies that are non-essential will be closed down. This may mean temporarily or permanently. (CLAUSURADOS).

The Leading Health official provided a list of industries to this date refusing to suspend their activities and that are considered to be non-essential, which include the following:

  • Automotive Industry.
  • Commercial activities, sale and distribution of non-essential products (i.e. department stores, shoes stores, office supply stores, decorative supply stores).
  • Textile Industry.
  • Wood/Lumber Industry.
  • Other activities (Aerospace Industry, Industrial Machinery, Cellulose and Paper Industry, Tabaco Industry, Construction and other non-essential industries).
* Additionally, this official informed that in cases where a crime may have been committed as a result of the failure to abide by the instructions to close, in that case the District Attorney will investigate and prosecute.


Furthermore, the social distancing rules have been extended to May the 30TH in some cities of Mexico, including Reynosa and Matamoros. Please check if your city, region or State is within the list of those that are included in the new extension.
