Special Permit for incapacity process online derived from the COVID-19 outbreak/Permiso Especial para el trámite de incapacidad en línea derivado del brote del COVID-19.

Dear Clients and Friends:

On March 25, 2020, the Technical Council of the Mexican Institute of the Social Security approved a special permit for incapacity process online within IMSS webpage due to the epidemic contingency derived from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Such special permit is to facilitate the processing of incapacity. It will be processed online with the aim of reducing spreading the illness as much as possible and the concentration of the population in health units and banking offices, which will guarantee the rendering of economic services in situations of temporary incapacity for work. It is of remote access for the registered users of the IMSS and employers.

It is aimed for registered users of the IMSS who comply with the symptom-based questionnaire regarding their health status. The workers will be able to fill out an online questionnaire to be diagnosed. If positive, a package will be sent with medical and instructional materials for signs, symptoms and care.

El 25 de Marzo de 2020, el Consejo Técnico del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social aprobó un permiso especial para el trámite de incapacidad en línea a través del portal del IMSS por la contingencia epidémica derivada del brote del COVID-19.

Dicho permiso especial es para facilitar el trámite de incapacidad. Será en línea con el objetivo de disminuir el contagio lo más posible y la concentración de población en unidades de salud y oficinas bancarias, lo que permitirá garantizar la prestación económica en situaciones de incapacidad temporal para el trabajo. Es de acceso remoto a los asegurados y patrones.

Está dirigido a asegurados del IMSS que cumplan con el cuestionario basado en síntomas sobre su estado de salud. Los trabajadores podrán llenar un cuestionario en línea para ser diagnosticados. En caso de ser positivo, se enviará un paquete con materiales médicos e instructivo de signos, síntomas y cuidados.
